Link or remove a Nigerian bank account

Add a 10-digit account in your verified name for supported payout and withdrawal flows.

Complete BVN verification first. The bank account you link must belong to you and match the verified identity. Linking an account saves payout details; it does not transfer money.

Add an account on the web

  1. Open Verification & Accounts, then Withdrawal Accounts.
  2. Under Verified Nigerian Bank Accounts (NGN), choose Add Account or Link NGN Account.
  3. Select your bank and enter the 10-digit account number. Submit the form.
  4. Wait for the account-resolution and name checks. A successful account appears in the linked list with its bank, account name and number.

Remove an account

  1. Find the linked bank account and choose its remove control.
  2. Check that you selected the correct account, then confirm the removal prompt.
  3. Check the list again. Removing saved details does not cancel an order or reverse a transfer already sent.

On the native app

Open Accounts, find the Nigerian bank accounts section and choose Add. In Link Nigerian Bank Account, select the bank, enter the NUBAN number and choose Verify & Save Account.

If the account cannot be saved

Check the bank selection and digit count. An account already linked to your profile is rejected as a duplicate. A name-matching failure cannot be solved by entering someone else’s identity; confirm the official bank record or ask support. Do not send a new deposit just to test linking.

If the issue continues, contact PayTali support with the relevant order or payment reference and the error message. Never include your password, verification codes, full BVN or full NIN.
