3. Regional Regulatory Notices
Users in our primary operating jurisdictions should take note of the following statutory contexts:
A. Arab Republic of Egypt
In Egypt, financial operations are governed by Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Law No. 194 of 2020. Paytali operates strictly as an information technology matching layer. Cash-out services on the Egyptian side are facilitated through independent, commercially registered local stores and vetted retail agents. Paytali is not a CBE-licensed bank.
[Regulatory Notice: Operating structure subject to ongoing local legal and regulatory validation under CBE FX Directives.]
B. Federal Republic of Nigeria
In Nigeria, operations comply with the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022 and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) AML/CFT regulations. Settlements in NGN occur exclusively via licensed commercial banks and payment service providers connected to NIBSS.
[Regulatory Notice: Compliant with CBN consumer protection guidelines and NFIU reporting frameworks.]
C. Francophone West Africa (WAEMU / BCEAO)
In the West African Economic and Monetary Union (WAEMU) zone, settlements in West African CFA Franc (XOF) are executed peer-to-peer via regional mobile money electronic money issuers (EMIs) authorized by the Banque Centrale des États de l'Afrique de l'Ouest (BCEAO).
4. Qualified Legal Review Disclaimer
