1. Platform Services & Scope

Paytali provides a technology matching platform connecting currency buyers with independent, vetted merchant brokers for peer-to-peer currency exchanges (principally Egyptian Pounds [EGP], Nigerian Naira [NGN], and West African CFA Franc [XOF]). Paytali does not custody user exchange settlement funds.

2. Merchant Collateral & Recourse

To protect market participants, every merchant broker is required to deposit security collateral in NGN or XOF into a platform recourse vault. In the event of an unfulfilled trade or verified default, Paytali exercises recourse against the merchant’s deposit to make the counterparty whole.

3. User Responsibilities & Compliance

By using Paytali, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, truthful identity documentation for KYC verification.
  • Only send funds from bank accounts or mobile money wallets registered in your own legal name.
  • Refrain from exchanging contact information (phone, WhatsApp, email) outside the platform to circumvent safety protocols.
  • Comply with all applicable domestic and cross-border currency regulations in Egypt, Nigeria, and respective operating jurisdictions.

4. Dispute Resolution

Either party may raise an in-app dispute during an active order. Paytali’s arbitration team examines payment proofs, bank statements, and blockchain/rail logs to adjudicate the trade and enforce merchant deposit recourse if necessary. All decisions rendered by Paytali arbitration in good faith based on verifiable banking evidence are final.
