Protect your account and avoid payment scams

Keep credentials private and verify payments through the real order and receiving account.

Keep your PayTali account, email and banking credentials private. PayTali’s contact page states that staff will not ask for passwords, SMS verification codes or OTPs, or direct you to private staff accounts.

Before signing in or sending money

  • Open PayTali sign-in directly and check the address. Do not sign in through an unexpected message.
  • Use a unique password and keep control of the email and phone used to register.
  • Use payment instructions on the active order. Do not accept a privately messaged substitute destination or an “unlock” payment.
  • Confirm a payout only after checking your actual receiving account. An alert, proof image or merchant message can be misleading.
  • Keep trade communication in order chat. Do not share identity numbers or credentials, and do not bypass the contact-information filter.

If you suspect account compromise or fraud

  1. Stop the suspicious interaction and do not disclose any more codes or authorize additional payments.
  2. If an order is active, retain the reference and use its dispute action where available.
  3. Contact support through the official contact details. State whether you can still sign in and whether a payment was sent.
  4. If a bank transfer is involved, also contact the relevant payment provider through its own official channel.

Available controls

Do not rely on the retired banking guides for a transaction PIN, passkey, private mode, biometric lock or emergency self-block feature. Those controls have not been verified in the current PayTali customer interface. Ask support for account-access assistance.
